Recently Returned OIF Veterans Present Mayor with District Flag Flown in Iraq

Mayor Adrian M. Fenty (center) and Director of Veterans Affairs, Timothy J. Smith, are surrounded by members of the 275th Military Police Company, Washington, DC.  The Soldiers recently returned from Iraq and have returned the District Flag that Mayor Fenty presented to the Company as it departed for Iraq in October.  The Operation Iraqi Freedom combat veterans presented the flag to Mayor Fenty, July 11, in the Mayor’s Ceremonial Room in the John A. Wilson Building.  The DC Flag flew over the 275th’s Tactical Operations Center in Iraq.
