District of Columbia Veterans Statistical Data

The following charts depict District of Columbia Active Duty and Reservist by Military Branch
Currently Deployed as of March 31, 2008.

Deployed: An OEF/OIF "deployment” is defined as a service member physically located within the Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) / Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) combat zone or area of operations (AOR) or a service member specifically identified by his/her service as "directly supporting" the OEF/OIF mission.

Ever Deployed (Sept 2001 - March 2008): The "Ever Deployed Population" consists of any individual who has been deployed (between Sept 2001 through March 2008). If an individual has been deployed multiple times, the below data only counts his/her most recent deployment.

Veterans Data: A summary of veterans status for DC residents 18 years and over.
