DC Veteran Vehicle Tags

The DC Mayor's Office of Veterans Affairs (MOVA) has three specialty Veterans plates available through the DC DMV; the DC Veteran Tag with MOVA logo, DC Woman Veterans Tag and the Disabled American Tags (DAV). Requirements and fees are listed below. Letters from MOVA are  not  required for specialty Veteran tags. All fees collected from the DC Veteran Tag and the DC Woman Veteran Tag are deposited into the Office of Veterans Affairs Special Purpose Fund. This fund is used to support D.C. Veteran programs and initiatives in all eight wards. Examples of past programs include providing hygiene kits and welcome bags for homeless veterans entering transitional housing and community service projects on Veterans Day and Memorial Day.

Many thanks to the DC Women Veterans and the Mayor's Office on Women's Policy and Initiatives for developing an excellent Woman Veteran Tag!
